Broken Promises

My Broken Heart

I wish I didn’t believe your promises;
I wish I wasn’t so gullible to think
you’d keep your word.

I feel like such a fool for doing
what you want me to
when you don’t give anything back.

Stop telling me you want to see me again
when you never come to me;
stop asking for a photo of me
because you miss my face.

Here’s a final picture of me
to add to your collection:
me curled up on the floor
crying myself into heartbreak.
