‘Cross This Land

Take a journey ‘cross this land.
Awaken these dormant sands.

Climb down mountain peaks.
Find within me bubbling creeks.

Water these barren fields.
Uncover my treasure sealed.

Expose this naked earth.
Reveal all my hidden worth.

Travel through the plains.
Dampen me with your rains.

Stir up in me thunderstorms.
Coat my skin with your warmth.

Your clouds arouse showers.
Pour onto my delicate flower.

Trace along moistened soil.
Bring my volcano to a boil.

Soon the lava begins to flow.
It floods your skin below.
