I spent decades looking for someone

and nobody measured up to my hopes.

I had stopped believing I would 

ever find love in this lonely world.

But then you came along and 

changed the ending to my story.

From the first moment we met,

it felt like fate stepped in.

You're my person, my soulmate,

the one that I was meant for.

You're the one that makes

me laugh before going to bed.

The one I smother in kisses

when I wake up in the morning.

You know my secrets, my regrets;

you're my saving grace.

You're my person, my everything,

the only one I want to grow old with.
