Losing Myself

You made me weak
in the knees;
I lost my power
to gain your love.

Then I lost you
and in the process
I lost myself,
heart torn in two.

No one believes
I can rise above;
a broken heart
is hard to mend.

You took my love,
but deep within
there is strength
still left in me.

I will break down
these bittersweet
memories of you
with wrecking balls.

I will battle you
to reclaim my life
until I gain control
of my emotions again.

You took my love,
but deep within
there is strength
still left in me.
