Baby Jesus

Folder:
God (Inspired by)

I'm bursting at the seams,
grateful to be chosen
to carry the Son of God
in my virgin womb.

We journeyed through deserts
and arrived at a crowded inn;
the King of the World will

be birthed in a mangy manger.

When I first stared at my child,
I looked into the eyes of
the one who would save the world.

But now he was just a baby boy
with hands so small
they fit into my palm,
but somehow created this earth.

He could have stayed on his throne,
but he chose to come down
and give his life for us.
