The Greatest Contradiction

We all die alone,
but love makes life a little less lonely.

It is the world's greatest contradiction.

One minute it fills you,
then empties you
in the next heartbeart.

Love gives you faith,

and makes you lose your religion.

It is full of hope
and leaves you feeling hopeless.

You will kill for love,
and risk your life for it.

Love is a mirage in a desert,
the valley between the mountains.

It is an echo in cave,
your own words coming back to mock you.

It what keeps you awake at night
and what makes dreams so pleasant.

It makes you believe in the impossible,
a surreal emotion that reminds you
fantasy can be tangible.

It is the world's greatest contradiction.

We all die alone,
but love makes life a little less lonely.
