Come and Dream with Me

 Come and dream with me,

Let’s visualise and do what others merely see,

 Dream is like a seed,

Giving birth to a tree that all need.

Just forget for a moment Freud and his theory,

Grant an unending leave to worry,

And enter the world of dreams,

 That emits revolutionary gleams.

Come and dream with me,

You shall see what I see!

Author's Notes/Comments:

Here, I have laid emphasis on the kind of dream that we see while we are not asleep i.e. with our eyes open. I do agree with you that most of the dreams appearing amid our 'sleep' do not come true, but I am talking about the certain dream that does not let a person sleep, that keeps reminding him to accomplish it. Now, according to Freud, 'dream' is the guardian of sleep; it helps us to have a sound sleep. Well, this theory is not accepted by everyone, yet it sounds pretty logical. However, the line "Just forget, for a moment, Freud and his theory" itself is enough for us to realise that the poem is about dreaming with our eyes wide open. To put it simply, the speaker urges the readers to become 'visionaries'.
