Plants die and leaves wither,
Trees die and roots rot,
But treasured friends are evergreen.
Showers may cease and snow may melt,
Stories may end and songs stopped
But special friends are evergreen.
Memories fade and identities forgotten,
Flowers die and fruits fall,
But faithful friends are evergreen.
