My father's coffee mug

My father keeps his coffee mug in the corner of the kitchen, where everyone can see it while eating some chicken. He always wants to use that coffee mug when we have some visit over the house even though he doesn’t drink coffee that much. He just drinks coffee at morning and he rathers drink some beer when my mom’s being boring. This coffee mug is short and white, it has the coffee shop logo in the middle. If you ask why this coffee mug is important to him it’s because he won it after running but not at the gym. He runs since 2006 when he was about thirty nine and my sister was six. He started running marathons when he was 40 years old and since then, he hasn’t stop running but these couple of months since he just had a hip surgery. He has ran 16 marathons and he hopes to continue running like before. Me and my family, including my father, love to run. My father started running and he passed it all the way to us. One cold day we went to a coffee shop and they told us they were celebrating their aniversary by making a running race, so we told them we would be there. The next weekend we went to that race, it was a 10k race and all my family was going to run it. My father ran the 10k race and won the first place. He received this coffee mug as a price and he didn’t like it at all. He prefered a big medal or a diploma with his name on it. He says its more honorable to have a diploma or a medal hanging on the wall of his office where he can see it everytime he walks into his office, than having something you could use it everytime and can be broken or throwed to the garbage. Since he received that price he always stares at it and laughs. He uses it and remembers that day and it’s one of the reasons he doesn’t throws it away. Even though he hates that coffee mug, it means memories to him and laughs at that day. My father loves to run and he also loves that all of his family runs too. This coffee mug means a lot to my family because we can always see my father happy when he drinks from it.
