I need you

How can I show my love to you?

This is the question set before me this evening.

I know I love you.

You know I love you.

But is saying it really enough?

I guess it has to be since I can't show you my feelings.

All I can hope for is that you take my words.

Take them for all they mean to me.

All I can hope for is that they mean the same to you.

How can I show my love to you?

The distance seems insurmountable tonight.

How can I show my love to you?

When I can't even touch you.

Tonight I need you more then I can explain.

I need to hear how your day was.

I need you to hold me and comfort me.

I need you to love me.

I need you.

Right here next to me.

But all I can hope for right now is your words.

Your words and your voice are all I have to go on.

I just hope that is enough to sustain me thru the night.

I just hope that is enough.

I hope that my words are enough for you.

I hope that your words are enough for me.

Because all I can think about tonight is how much I need you.

I just need you.
