A Fea Story

I was once part of the Royal Fea

Though you may not believe me

I was destined to be their queen

When I was a teen

But I through it all away

Because of one day

From their long, long hair,

To their pointed ears,

It'd be hard to compare

Or so it appears,

The Fea to human kind

But that did not change my mind

You see when I was twenty-one

A very unique man entered my life

He was sitting there all alone

And could defend himself with only a knife

He was in a valley, lost

In a small stretch of forest

His name was Jonathan

A name foreign to me,

He was such a sweet man

But I wondered how he could see

My true form, the one we hide

From human kind

He stole my heart and I let him

His quiet nature flowing

Filled me to the brim

And he was capable of imparting

Me with knowledge I would never know

In my quiet Fea home

We loved without restraint

Openly and happily living

But my father had a complaint

Believing a Fea and human being

Should not be together

So he searched the old leather

And so he found

Among the dust covered bindings

A law so profound

It would cause rioting

As the people revolted

And I bolted

My father found the Law of Carriondove

Created by an angry king

Whose daughter fell in love

With a human being

And forever redefined

The Royal Fea bloodline

And so I ran away

From my once peaceful home

And on that day

As I started to roam

I sealed my fate

For my soul mate

But he died long ago

And now my immortal body grievs

For the man that put me through

All that I have received

And I wonder, day by day,

Was it worth it

I was once part of the Royal Fea

Though you may not believe me

I was destined to be their queen

When I was a teen

But I through it all away

Because of one day
