Speed, that which rules school
Your told to do something
In the alloted time
And you must set your speed to that time
Speed changes from day to day,
You may have a day fly by
Or a day that won't go away
But either way your stuck in this time
Wouldn't it be nice
If we could change the speed of life
We could make the hard times fly by
And the good times stay?
We only realize
How slow it can be
When we hear the clock
Ticking time away
I don't know why
Time flys by
When your happy
When times are good
I don't think we'll ever know
Why time stands still
At tragic times
But we'll always know
The one true fact
The speed of life
Is out of our control
