The Falldown

Brad and Spitt, two twins that didn´t get along and got always in problems had their parents fed up. Whenever there was a problem among them, Brad would always say things to Spitt like “you were adopted” or “I was born first so you have to do what I say” and many other phrases that really bothered Brad. Since they really didn´t knew how to get along with each other, their parents tried to keep them separated but this never worked out because they would always end up fighting. At the age of 10 their parents decided to give 1 foal to each one of them so they could learn how to be responsible of other living things and thought that this would unite them more. Brad didn´t really like his foal at first because he preferred to do other sort of things rather than to take care of a pet. But Spitt, since he was the younger brother, did love his foal and promised his parents that he would be the best pet owner in the world. At first, Brad hated waking up earlier than always just to feed an animal he didn´t even wanted but as time passed he began to create a close connection with his foal. On the other side, Spitt did seem to enjoy the fact of having a baby animal and caring for it. Time passed and the foals grew up to become tall horses with enormous strength in their legs and a beautiful horsehair which Spitt enjoyed to pet for hours. Somehow the idea of their parents had began to work out and they started to get along with each other, not that much, since Brad considered himself way superior than his brother. Every evening they would both wake up to clean the horses mess and feed them, after school they would go out for a ride to the park on their horses and then they would return to their houses and do their house duties. One day after school they decided they would make a race to see which horse was faster by doing a complete loop to the park. Once they were in the park they arranged everything so no one would block the circuit, this race meant everything to Brad since this was the way he was going to prove that he was better than his brother. Then Brad started countdown “3…2...1” and in a blink of an eye the two horses began to run as fast as they could, it was a 2 kilometer circuit so anything could happen, but once they arrived to the first loop Spitt fell down of his horse hitting his legs really hard to the floor that a crack could almost had been heard in all the park. It was then that in a flash thought his brother decided to help him rather than winning the race which was more important to him. As soon as Brad got down of his horse he ran towards Spitt to help him. Brad face turned from sad to happy when he saw his brother recover from the fall and stood up. He began to cry and told his brother he was sorry for everything he had done to him and blaming himself about the race. Spitt told him he didn´t care about the past and told him the following “no matter what you do, what you have done, or what you want to do, I´ll always be there for you”. And the both lived happily ever after.
