The End of the World
The donkey and the bird lived happily on the world along with other animals that, like them, preferred to live in pairs. Every day they would go out for a stroll and then they would get breakfast, after that they would continue walking, playing and talking of the things that happened around their home. One day, the God of the animals gathered with them to tell them that a big winter was coming and that they had to cross the Pacific Ocean in pairs within the next 5 days so that they could enjoy the new land, where they had never been before and where the God said there were many more trees to live and fruits to eat. Excited, all the paired animals, the squirrel with the dog, the cat with the mice, the turtle with the monkey and even the bird and the donkey began to plan how they would begin their journey to the other side. The next day they began their journey, first they began with gathering the essentials, food for the trip and old piece of wood for transportation. And so they began to travel on the ocean. At first everything seem to be peaceful around the ocean, few waves came by, but nothing they had to worry about. The donkey and the bird, like any other day, talked non stop and laugh through the day. r. On the second day, they began to realize that the old wood began to swell up due to the water of the ocean, but they decided to ignore this mishap. The next day in the afternoon the wood began to sink more and more and with the weight of the donkey the wooden piece broke. Scared to drown the donkey began to scream, he was now in the cold water of the ocean, holding to one half of the wood, trying not to drown and keep floating as long as he could. Meanwhile the bird flew on top of him, seeing him, doing nothing to help him. The donkey screamed at him, asking him to help, to find a way to help him not drown and safely get to land. But the bird, scared to run out of time before the winter reached them, couldn’t waste any time to help. Without giving it much thought, flew away, leaving his long life friend behind. A day passed and finally the bird reached land. The other pair of animals were already settled in, relaxin in the ocean shore, some eating, other sleeping. The bright sun reflected in the sand, it was a peaceful place. When bird finally landed, the god appeared once again. He was mad. The god had asked all the animals to move across the ocean, but he had wanted every single one of them to reach the other side ocean, when he saw that the donkey had been left behind, he felt betrayed. With anger he gathered all the animals and began to curse them for their lack of unity, asking why the donkey had been left behind. The anger that filled the god was so big that he began to say random words, that sounded like if he was swearing. The sky began to darken and a strong wind was triggered. A lightning strucked on the sand and everything began to crumble down, the end of the world had began.
