Thoughtless

I sat and couldn't think no more

My thoughts walked straight out the door

My mind was darker than night

The thoughts went out and so did light

My notebook empty A though Z

What could I do to rhyme with Z

I sat around and thought of me

My life and what I out to be

Yet, the siege on my mind was unbroken

All of the roads unopen

Maybe.. I could

Maybe.. I would

Maybe.. I should

Break the wood

That wood on the siege tower

And let my mind bloom like a flower.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem was inspired by all the times I sat down to write but nothing came forth.

i never intentionally intend

i never intentionally intend to write, I do some times write random words on the screen and gather inspiration from them. thank you for your poem it was lovely to read.

The darkness outside is not so frightening as the one inside. Behind knowing smiles and crocodile tears we hide our fears.

Being angry at someone is to give them power over you, but to forgive is to take away that power.
