Erased

One of the greatest gifts we can receive is the gift of a blank slate.

The proverbial fresh start.

There is no other feeling quite like that of being told that your previous mistakes, sins, and acts of guilt are absolve.

Has anyone ever wondered what happens to said guilt?

Does it become a leaf upon the wind? Gliding listlessly until it lodges itself elsewhere?

Does it simply vanish from existenc, like some lost religion?

Or does it never truly go away? Does it not just get pushed towards the back of our minds, weighing down on our souls?

Personally, I lean towards the ladder of the three.

How can a simple phrase simply destroy so much of our past?

How can we expect so much of our story to be erased so easily?

No. Our past can never be forgotten, nor can it be forgiven.

There is equally a curse that comes with a blank slate.

Change

its past from re living it,rehearsing it

every day is a fresh ne experience

love lets it go

writes it off and frees space for improvement.

its a choice to use it for learning to be better
