It’s just a dream, It’s just a dream.. Megan tries to repeat it to herself after having one of her scariest dreams at night. Today was his father 50th birthday and Megan was dealing with some personal issues that had been hard for her for the last 5 years.
It all started when she was 14, she just finds out the real reason of her mother going away when she was just 7 years. Her mother was diagnosed with delusional disorder and his father in desperate need for help send her to a clinic in which she died from a heart abnormality. They told Megan that her mother was constantly suffering from paranoia about the future, claiming she knew what was going to happen. Days after Megan find out the truth about her mother she began having this weird dreams, she will have the same dream daily for about 4 days with just different outcomes due to something that change the curse of the dream. It was not until she was 15 that she discovers that those were not just dreams, they were premonitions! She had the ability to see the future all with several different outcomes.
Lately she was dealing harder with this dreams because even do she managed to control them and in many times also change the future, todays dream was harder to decode.. She is having this feeling that it’s something about his father’s health, or something about and accident, all involving his father wellbeing. So today is his father birthday celebration and she needs to act normal, not concerned not even when she knows her premonition is due to come true tomorrow at night.
Strawberry cheesecake, his father’s favorite, Megan cuts a piece and go sit next to her mother’s sister Aunt Sarah, they start having a nice conversation until her aunt tell her that she remain her a lot to her sister, Megan’s dad snap and immediately interrupt them and says “She is nothing like her, she is by far in many ways better”, the whole room just went gray, Megan couldn’t help the tears and run to her room. She feels she understand why her mother went mad, she was able to see the future just like her. But how can you explain this to someone else? They will think you are crazy, so it’s better to keep it to yourself.
Tonight Megan is hoping to be able to decode her dream in order to save his father. His father has been in a big depression for many years after Megan’s mom died, he blames himself for her sickness, and he could be more farther from the truth.
Megan just wake up with a smile in her face, immediately runs thru her father’s room and huge him, she began talking about this vacation she wants to take to Toronto, after a long talk she decide to tell his father what will happen in an hour, in 2 hours and so on. Her father just went shock and began to argue with her. He didn’t believe her and ask her to leave his room. After 1 hour he noticed that the things Megan told her were coming true, it all started with his neighbor’s cat that crash into his leaving room, the next thing was he receiving a call from work telling him that they needed his medical assistance immediately, he is a doctor. He remembers that Megan told him about a accident involving his ride to home from the hospital so even when he is still not convince everything is true decides to stay.
At night he enters Megan room and they both began to cry, she hug’s him and tells him “Mom really loved you, she just had super powers like I do, but she really loved you”.
