A Poem for Momma

One step closer, I have that knife to my wrist

Just like always, I became a little pissed

"do it" voices inside of my head say

"you know this is the only way".

I look up and see her photo on my wall

Why didn't she hear me when I called?

I am a troubled child with thoughts of bad

No matter what, I still love mom and dad.

I see her eyes and it helps me through

Because, She said "I'll always love you"

For momma, I stay together through the toughest

I pray for her when I lay my head down to rest.

Momma, I know I scare you.  But please momma see

You said no matter what, you would forever love me.

Your little girl is changing, spending more time with dad

But, don't give up now.  Your the best mom I ever had.

Kids say how much they hate their mother

I tell them, I love mine forever.

Can't you see, Momma?  I need a change

I am getting tired of the same ole' things.

Momma, If I leave here tonight

Know that everything'll be alright

'Cause, I'll be back, I don't know when

We'll hang out, that day and then...

We can go get icecream from IceCream Shack

Just no matter what momma, try to relax

Your little girl isn't gone forever, she misses you

And I am sure that you are missing her too.

{{Wrote this because I am thinking about moving out of here. I mean, I love where I'm at... I just need a change. And, I hope my momma knows, it's not her fault.}}
