Now I lay you down to sleep,
Your god is dead, now don't you weep.
Angels watched you as you fell,
Devil's been laughing, down in Hell.
You followed vows and broke your bread,
Paid your dues and bowed your head.
You followed every single rule,
Watched the world be very cruel.
You were the best and faithful slave,
Trusted blindly and always gave.
Now as I lay you down to sleep,
Know your soul was never yours to keep.
