Holes

Who says this isn't the end of the track?

Why should I stop to look back?

That door has closed,

I slammed it in your face,

Because you tore up my heart,

And didn't put it back in its place,

Digging a grave,

Where my heart now lay,

Buried six-feet under,

With a stone marking its place,

Filling the holes are your lies and deceit,

Apologizing at my feet,

For every hole dug into me,

Is another broken memory,

Your hands feel so cold,

Your eyes look so numb,

My river of tears will carry you back to where you belong.
