It has been five long years since we laid you to rest,
And when I say you was my best friend, I know I was blessed.
You was one of a kind, but my angel must have been reassigned,
Because you moved on to bigger and better things, and I was left behind.
There is a space in my life, where you used to be,
But I am glad that you are there to watch over me.
The years have started to fly by so fast,
And I find it hard to think of you in the past.
