Heaven
I was blessed with a little piece of heaven here on earth,
And you mean a lot to me for whatever it is worth.
You gave to me and never asked for anything in return,
And any time I made a mistake, you told me to live and learn.
You were always there for me whenever I needed a friend or a shoulder to cry on.
But now I don't have anyone.
My whole life changed that April dawn,
And I know that my angel went back to heaven,
God needed you more than I did, and do.
But Lord knows I still miss you.
I know you are watching over me keeping me safe.
but I know no one will ever take your place.
I hope that you know how much you mean to me, and I pray that you are happy.
I know that I will be ok
and in time my broken heart will heal,
And in time I will be able to feel.
But right now I am still numb and scared,
But I know I am a better person because of the time we shared.
