Gather Me Up, Take Me Home



I lay everything out 

like a bad dream



My palms hoover above 

the table 

Here is the salmon, pink heart

the magenta under my eyelids like


the charcoal punctuation of

my iris' 

like endings of a sentence 


here is the soul,



Chunks of Obsidian

dark, yet catching the light 

off my eyes 


the eyes. 

Portals of burnt umber 

Yet truly- they are turquoise lovers

or emerald fevers 


deep and constant as the sea
