A lingering laugh to last a while.
Easy grin, happy face.
Too timid, too mild to ensue the chase.
But chase we did,
just you and me.
Chased a dream,
of what could be.
I love it, I hate it.
No use to debate it...
You're perfect and shy.
A different kind of guy.
Can't say that I miss not knowing your brain.
Can't say I miss not knowing your name.
Sometimes...its hard.
They all laugh at us.
But...Your heart?
It stretches the chasm,
Turns night to day,
Makes it okay,
all to their dismay.
"They won't last," they said.
"They"ll fall," they said.
Look at us now.
We defy all odds.
That deserves an applaud.
