i want to live in

home on the range

just so i can write it

on my postcards to you



or bad route rd

near glendive mt

and stay at the el centro motel

for 22 a night



sometimes a simple life seems so

umm

simple

simple enough that you could even get used to it

learn to like

the change of pace

might even be nice for a change



there is a bipolar sky

under which i am maintaining

a decent speed limit

behind a truck carrying the man i love

and our orange tiger kitten

dark grey layered thick pissed off and

spitting angry rain at me on one third

white puffy happy clouds on the second third

and the sun kicking out some jams on the other side

out here in big sky country

you can see all the thirds

centered around you

like you are the filling of a pie



you are moody

like these clouds

but when that sun hits you

it refracts light

in thousands of directions

against those

dark clouds



i see

the light
