The Old Stuff

When we met,

I thought we could be just friends.

But later on I realized

A deeper relationship.

I loved the way you made me laugh,

But I was still scared of you.

You made me feel special.

You treated me like a goddess.

I still wasnt in love,

Though you admitted you were.

But when I started to see I was, too,

It all fell apart.

What you did is too harsh to say,

It hearts me so every time I replay what you said.

I am not you property!

I dont belong to you!

Yet, you still drag me along,

Like a dog on a leash.

I hate the ways you treat me.

I hate the way you make me cry.

But most of all,

I hate the way I still love you!

The beginning of this poem sounds like the relationship I have with one of my friends right now...I only hope it doesn't turn out the same way.

Nice work.
