i saw you look at her the other day.

i screamed silently inside

you know i like you but you look the other way

they ask me why i like you so

they put you down so low

but i don't care what others say

you somehow have a power over me

you put me into that place

where all your feelings collide

and rest somewhere between

awake and dreaming where

the outside world is just

a whisper against the wind

i feel i'm miles off the ground

i look above to see the stars, the

wonderous stars that shine so bright

just to look below to see the city lights

both make our lives seem so small

but the pain you inflict on me

when you say "lets just be friends,"

makes it seem that the whole

world listens to me cry.
