Yes I know you don’t like him

Yes I know you think he’s not worth it

Yes I know I’m being stupid



But I can’t help that I like him

And I can’t help that he doesn’t like me

And I can’t do anything about it

Because it’s not up to me



So leave it alone



Everyone I know thinks I shouldn’t like him

25 thousand people have said he’s not worth it

Every time I mention him someone says I’m being stupid



But I can’t help what the whole world sees

And I can’t help you see what I see

And I can’t explain what it is that it is

Because it will only make sense to me



So leave it alone

Oh, honey, I will listen to you talk about him, even if I don't like him all that much. I don't know him like you do, so you can always come and tell me.
