The boredom that lives in room 310 (ie In House Suspension)

Silence radiates through the room

You cannot utter a single word

The only sounds that you hear

Are the kids shifting in chairs.

There is to be no sleeping

There is to be no talking

There is to be no eating

And definitely no breathing

The punished kids just sit in the chairs

Not knowing what they’re feeling

The boredom that feeds off the boredom they feel

Grows every time they are there

It seeps into the corners and into the walls

And suffocates the air.

You can’t see it but you can feel it

There is no doubt that it’s there

The school thinks that this will cure us

They think it will teach us our lesson

WELL............... they’re right.

Because I hope that I will never again have to visit

The boredom that lives in room 310
