IF TOMORROW NEVER CAME

If tomorrow never came,

would you know how much I loved you?

Would you have felt my touch, my breath, my kiss

and known my love for you was true?

Would you have heard my whispers in your ear,

would your heart have sung a song?

Would you have felt my arms around you,

through dark nights that were long?

If tomorrow never came,

would you know how much I cared?

That with your loving arms around me,

I was never, ever scared?

Would you have ached inside from missing me,

would you have let your tears flow free?

Would you have known that everything I have,

I would give up for you, you see?

If tomorrow never came,

and you felt all this and more,

I'd have known my part was finished,

and my heart would surely soar.

I would have loved you so completely,

so you would always have been shown.

And forever I shall love you,

so you shan't ever feel alone.

I am really enjoying your work Lady Hawke. Your words show your caring and loving heart. This world needs more of that.
Question...Is there an extra "the" in line 8?

Soul's Enigma's picture

This one is very touching, and kinda like an expansion of the Garth Brooks song. You seem to be a very passionate woman with an intense depth of emotion. He is very lucky to have words like these written for him and feelings like this devoted to him.
