For a few stolen moments you were mine
But they were not nearly enough
So here I stand waiting wanting
Hoping that someday you will be mine
But should I wait forever
For something that I know can never be
You are the man I dream of
Alone at night in my room
How can any compare
How can I move on
You are the one I want
Should I listen to my heart or my head
Be smart or reckless
Should I play it safe or risk everything
If it doesn’t work at least I could say I tried
So here I stand two ways to go
The safe and settled
The dangerous and delightful
Which way I go is up to you
