Better Left Unsaid

How can one utter words

Which in reality has no meaning

How can one hold back

For silence, is misleading

Caught between a deaf ear & raging screaming

Sound, silenced the pleading

The second it was told

No longer a mystery

As you shattered the unknown

Gathered in spoken words

Emerged in multi tones

No depth in understanding

As you planned it

For now you are bare

Stripped down to nakedness

In your thought you needed to share

Misinterpretation to stares

Vulnerable to care

In the end with hopes to accomplish

Was remotely demolished

When will I ever learn

That the words you speak entrap you

To the ears in which

They’re heard

Author's Notes/Comments:

I’ve often found myself needing to tell another things that should have been kept to myself. Once something is told it can always be used against you, Hence SOMETHINGS ARE BETTER LEFT UNSAID.

the powerful idea behind a simple phrase

It can be an amazing and wonderful to discover the powerful idea behind a simple phrase. And how that phrase leads to a poem. Tension creates many exquisite works of art. Contrasting emotions are plainly put forth in this potent piece. Ideas configured into an unassuming form, they become nourished in a universal theme.
This poem is a poem that would touch anyone, with echoes of the glare of society and its expectations. Masses murmuring for the truth in this world of instability. I just call it like I see it. Let the chips fall where they may. With situations revealed by images of wagging tongues that say nothing and tongues trapped in a battle with their own weaknesses. It is nice to see that you considered a way of expression that got your point across with an intelligent stance.

Peace
