You are the one

I’ve been searching for

But as I reach out

To touch you

You only seemed to soar

Making me want you

Even more

As I look at you

Am I seeing a dream

Not seeing what is truth

Only the things I believe

Lost in my visions

Of having you near

Only to open up my eyes

And realize you weren’t there



At this time

On this day

The question I’ll ask

Is do you feel the same way

I can’t just give

My affections away

Because in the end

There’s a price I will pay



Will that day ever come

When I can call you mine

For us to be

With one another

And together we’ll shine

To get to know you

And get into your mind

It’s not how

Long you’re with a person

It’s the quality of the time



On this day

At this time

The question I’ll ask

Is will you be mine

I’ll sacrifice my love

But what will I gain

Not knowing the answer

But the question still remains



A choice lies in your hands

A decision you must reach

As you come into my life

There is a lot

I will teach

Are you afraid

You don’t know what I can be

If you open up your heart

You’ll find you can trust me

To open up inside

And soon come to see

You can only find love

If in love you come to be

Is what decision you’ll make

The thing’s I would go through

The risks I’m willing to take

Because if loving you is wrong
