The phoenix

Folder:
English poems

The phoenix whose life from the ashes rise

From the nest that which I had set to fire

The phoenix whose life from the ashes rise

A burnt past that is not worthy of ire

My voice so sweet and calming thou shall hear

From the nest that which I had set to fire

Songs of love, joy, pain, sorrow and of fear

As I rise from the ashes of my past

My voice so sweet and calming thou shall hear

Singing for the new life to me was cast

The tears from my eyes heal the wounded heart

As I rise from the ashes of my past

From the sorrows and pains shall I depart

I will soar through the sky of my new world

The tears from my eyes heal the wounded heart

Those that I’ve caused and those towards me hurled

I will soar through the sky of my new world

The phoenix whose life from the ashes rise

The phoenix whose life from the ashes rise
