To close my eyes at night

With you the last in sight

And when morning arise

I see first your smile



Toast a bread for you

Make coffee for two

And at the end of the day

Be there to greet you home



It’s all that simple

The way I see us then

How we would spend our life

Together ‘til the end



But then you had to leave

With no reason to give

My world just fell apart

My dreams gone with you



And now I lie alone

At night with tears in my eyes

And when morning arise

I cannot even smile



I sit alone trying to eat

Look at the paper that we used to read

The simple dream I had of us

Now stays a dream
