Rekindling Heart's Desire

I’ll not forget the times when passion thrived,

with lust and love’s desire joined as one,

for ne’er were fevered kisses turned aside,

nor disregarded, held at bay, or shunned.

Perhaps the spark of romance might still flare,

if dormant hearts, rekindled passion’s glow,

for ne’er could love neglected long forswear,

nor soon dismiss or flee that cupid’s bow.

If once my fervent kiss and ardent touch,

inflamed desire, fueling pleasure’s quest,

then certainly, these lips might still do much,

to thrust ignited hearts o’er rapture’s crest.

I’ll ne’er again lose sight of passion’s goal,

and douse thy kindled heart and burning soul.
