The Sorrow Of Love

The solitude of the night creeps in

despair is so unkind.

The vacant space that fills my heart

serves only to remind,

The love I thought would never end

you simply left behind.

With darkness comes the loneliness

that ushers in the pain.

Let sorrow sing its mournful song

with anguish its refrain.

While I flounder in self-pity

for our love was in vain.

The memories still invade my soul

your image I still see.

Unanswered questions yet remain

had you stopped loving me?

I wait in silence for your return

to have my heart set free.

This was very nice Kenneth. Nicely said, nicely done.
