Lonely Road

Don't walk me down that road again,

I'd rather go alone

Than to feel the cold wind in my heart

when I realize you are gone.

Don't spoil the vista's beauty

with all the lies you tell.

I'd rather enjoy this autumn day

and not a walk thru hell.

My life continues along this path

alone and solitary.

Until there finally comes the day

and your memory I will bury.

Hey! Nice poem. I love poems that rhyme! Everything else is just called a poem! LOL

Yes, I understand the feeling here, and possibly your motivation for writing it! Good job!

Thanks, my friend,

WOW! That's a powerful poem! I love it and can relate to that rather cold breeze myself. I too would prefer the course you have laid out for us here. I really like this one, Friend

Just keep on walking and for all our sakes, keep on writing!
