Wine Country

Long before the buildings come into view

rows upon rows cover the hills.

Long skinny fingers reaching for the dawn.

Chardonnay grapes hanging in clusters

as far as the eye can see.

Tourists gathering around the vineyard shops

eager to spend  money while window shopping

The musky scent of wine casts balance

with the sight of sun-lit wine bottles on display.

The glowing colors enticing, drawing customers in

as the shop keeper unlocks the doors......
