The glow of coals in the stove
the rooms only light,
touches the corners of the cabin
and your sleeping face.

While there in your arms
I look at every line and curve
of your beautiful face
and feel the warmth of your body.

Deep contentment,
total relaxation.
I'm off to sleep,
safe in your arms.

Morning light slips in the window,
a chill posesses the room.
Beneath a down comforter, naked bodies
breath warm vapor into the cold air.

Nestled together like two spoons,
arms wrapped arm in arm in arm.
Whispers  kisses  nuzzles and caresses,
in the dawn's earliest light.

As you leave our bed
I watch you hurriedly dress....
shirt and pants, boots and jacket.
Quietly you leave.

When I awaken  its warm again.
The smell of coffee fills the air
and my first sight is you,
sitting by my side,  looking back at me,

'Your breakfast is ready.'
You say with a smile.
Touched beyond words
I kiss your soft sweet lips.
