In the Garden

I walk among the roses
glistening with morning dew
and as I talk to the roses
I'll tell them all of you.

The red rose that says. 'I love you'
a love that we must hide.
Yellow roses can express our joy
another secret kept inside.

A white rose says, 'You're heavenly'
and this I know is true.
But its the desire of coral rose
I want most to send to you.

And if teardrops  water roses
then my garden's watered well.
For each rose holds a teardrop
from this story that I tell.

As I move throughout my garden
each flower shares it's voice,
telling it's own meaning,
offering me a choice.

Tulips and carnations,
as a red rose, say, 'I love you'.
But the violet's 'affection'
I send across the miles to you.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Well, I started this one sometime ago, just haven't finished it.  Seems to me I needed to add a few more lines....(I'll get back to it).....or, what do you think?
