Don't Look at Me

Don't look at my soul so deep.

Can't you see I'm a mess?

Don't listen to my heart so intent,

Can't you hear my heart break?

Each time you walk away.

You take a piece of me, too.

Can't you see me breaking?

Each time you come back

I pray you'll stay.

Can't you taste the wish on my lips?

Each time you run away.

I hide a little further deep inside.

Can't you feel my tears?

Each time you say "I love you"

My heart cries with joy.

Can you hear me singing?

When you died

My soul laid to rest beside you

Can't you see me fade?
