MY ANGEL
i know i have an angel
that stands by my side
for she was sent to me
after my mom died
but you mustn't get confused
because they are one and the same
the angel that i love
"mother" is her name
she keeps me warm at night
as i lay in a cold bed
she helps to give me peace
when worries cloud my head
she gives me the courage
to face my biggest fears
she comforts my soul
when my eyes are full of tears
she takes me in her arms
when the days get tough
and the time she spent on earth
was hardly long enough
so to my guardian angel
i write this poem with love
and im waiting on the day
that i join you up above
