I had created this tall pedestal

cleared the top of dust and things that crawl



ensured that the support would hold and gently placed you atop

I kneeled at the bottom low and felt this aching gut rot

and so I stayed down far below

where your voice cannot reach me so

although this love was true to me

I knew to change my destiny...



And though time passed

I knew that it could never last

my world has crashed

these final moments flying by so fast



but I knew

Ya I knew

And so I stood on legs unused

for you

ya for you

and walked away



You're falling

you're falling don't look now

You're falling to the ground



Without my presence this pedestal falls

toppled over, fallen against these walls

and you lay in the rubble, which once stood tall

but now...

As you look around these barren rooms

searching for the one who's true

you had found me once before and I had come to your rescue

but now I'm gone, gone from you

and though this love was oh so true

I cannot bare this weight

You left me here to contemplate....



but I knew

And so I stood on legs unused

for you

ya for you

and walked away
