MONA LISA SMILE

Am I hiding a secret behind this smile

Maybe it has the power to beguile

Stop you from learning all that is true

All the things I keep hidden from you

Love for you buried deep in my heart

Pain that comes whenever we are apart

Sweet memories from somewhere in the past

Sorrow of knowing this will never last

Dreaming dreams that will never be

A Mona Lisa smile is all you will ever see

My love for you was never meant

Too many problems we can't circumvent

It is beautiful poem that remind me of my mom. She had such a smile on her face as I clicked a photo of her, I adore her for this very reason. Thank you I love this poem a lot million times.

Love turned sour or maybe never really there. It's a sad story but oh so common. You covered the topic well.
