IN MEMORY OF SUGAR

The sweetest little dog I've known

is sitting beside God's throne.

A thoughtless person ran her down

as he went speeding through our town.

She was a true, faithful friend

right to the very end,

understood when I was low;

knew my moods that come and go.

She had a heart pure as gold,

God used a special mold,

she always brought me cheer,

my little friend so sweet and dear.
