An Answer

Sleeping in the gutters

I cannot immagine

Eating garbage

Seems more like fiction

Without their actions

They slowly fade away

The clock ticks time away

Then they are left just to lay

When will they see a better day?

Circumstances

That never gave them a chance

Just to make it

Would be a miracle inside a broken dream

Still they are trying

But they can't seme to make ammends

What can you do when you life all just depends

On what money you can gather up today

It seems they work their lives away

Yet they never get anything in return

Now it's our time

To make thsi rewind

Start from the beginning

See what they were missing

Give them shelter

Some food for a day or two

Do whatever it is you do

Make it count for a person or a few

Don't let them give up

We all know that this life can be to rough

But what's the problem?

People are too greedy to give employees enough

So that's the problem

So much time for just a little dime

I wish things were not this way

What happened to the day?

When we all were born in the same family of God

Lets get back there

Don't give me a blank stare

We were all born to help eachother

You are my sister and my brother

Can't we do anything but look around

Wondering "What's the use?"

Have you blown a fuse?

Give up something for those who you love

Don't stop thinking about the big guy above

Keep on helping all of those who are around

Don't let them touch the ground

Pick them up before this life gets too rough

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is about helping out those who are less fortunate than you.  It is pretty straight forward and easy to understand.  I hope it inspires you to help those who try but fail to help themselves.
