'05 He was once Bubble Gum

Folder:
Analogy & I

He was once a cylinder, wrapped by a comforted shell.

In order for Him to get out, He had to be unwrapped.

He was eventually exposed to this world on someone's tips.

He was not cold or shy, just very...sweet and yummy.

He was, out of many types, picked for a reason so, He was tasted, oh well.

He'd never been bitten, so for the first time, it felt good to be a "mini" snack.

He would end up in different shapes, at times, touching "her" lips.

He would get blown up to 'PoP' which He was sure it felt kind of funny.

He began to get comfortable, but soon, His sweetness would eventually run out.

He was no longer played with, but would still get bitten every other five seconds.

He missed those minutes when He would get stretched and twirled on "her" fingers.

He tried to get the sweetness back, but "she" was already looking at other brands.

He knew, because "her" mouth would open when a "hot" flavor would come about.

He didn't stand a chance against those competitive brands with a flavor beyond.

He was chewed so much that His flavorless and shapeless exterior tasted worse.

He, eventually, was spat out, was left for others to step on, for no one to understand.

Good metaphor.. very sad though. I think I know what this is about.. but as always, I may be wrong.. or am I? And you're not dead.. you are very much alive in my eyes. You just don't see yourself the way others do. Happy birthday David and yes, God will bless your soul.. you just don't realize it. -Melissa
