Witch in Baghdad

Folder:
Shout And Shrill

Use Black Magic. Cast a spell.

Wish I could, do this well

On the battle field. Hypnotise and still

Soldiers on a drill, marching forward to kill;

Arms and ammunition full

Artilleries unable to trigger or pull

Guns; drive tanks using their hands

Bodies and limbs stiff; inflexible.

Spread over, the magic quilt

Calm, as cover built

across the lines.

No bombs no blasts could fly past

No soldiers fall, no flag half-mast.

I prevail.

Statues static on soil

Defeated violence recoiled, locked inside a tiny cell.

My breath into their lungs, blowing a quick redress

Awake the battalions into a song and dance, merry makings.

Foes and friends together completely forget to fight

In exuberance, embrace, hold each other tight.

This is my honest wish.

Black is beautiful! So is the night to fall asleep and wake up into a beautiful world.

Great Poem. Though I'm not too sure you should relate Black Magick with Witches. Then the image of witches turn negative when they are not.

My dear friend. If only everyone saw the world as you it would truely be heaven. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they gave a war and everyone refused to go?

Hi friend!
A lovely poem, but-
In this world we often achieved peace only via combat.
A peace at any cost is worthless. It has to be based on justice and charity. If these two prerequisites are absent it is unrealistic.
So let us fight for authentic peace.
Fine poem! Thanks

Great poem! I just wish that this would be possible. To remove hate from the heart and replace it with love. Peace among all people. ~Jan
