Some sow the Word in faith, some thrash it in contention.
But in each case, Christ, glorified, receives the mention.
Those who deny Him, most, as naught at all to them
make so much effort (and to what end?) to condemn
the faithful, who, upon the Lord's Word, have believed.
And yet the faithless think that we are self-deceived?

And if, from tenets of the faith, we will not budge,
we are met with abuse, profane insult, and pouting grudge.
